Hillary Clinton: "The U.S. will seek to apply new tougher sanctions on Iran"

28 April 2010 [13:42] - TODAY.AZ
On Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the United States will seek to apply new tougher sanctions on Iran.
Such measures are needed now, because, according to Clinton, the meeting held this Sunday in Vienna, of Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukii Amano, did not bring any noticeble changes in the process of negotiations on the nuclear problem of Tehran.

"Iran continues to ignore its international obligations", underlined Clinton, stating that "the U.S. is working with its partners over the new harsh sanctions that would reduce the choice of the Iranian government."
