Jordan calls for diplomacy on Iran nuclear issue

17 March 2010 [12:48] - TODAY.AZ
Jordan has called for a diplomatic solution to the dispute over Iran's nuclear program, saying that all nations should have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
"The security and the stability of the Arab countries is directly linked to regional security," Jordanian Interior Minister Nayef Qadai said in Tunis at a meeting of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

"That is why we confirm our support to diplomatic and political solutions concerning the crisis over Iran's nuclear program," Qadai said on Tuesday.

Qadai is the president of the Council's 27th session.

"All countries have the right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes," and nuclear issues must be dealt with transparently in all cases, and Israel is no exception, he added.
