Turkish president meets Turkish Cyprus PM in Ankara

Turkish President Abdullah Gul received Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on Friday.

During his visit to Ankara, Eroglu had meetings with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and State Minister & Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis.

Eroglu, also the leader of the National Unity Party (UBP), earlier officially announced his candidacy for the presidential election will be held in the TRNC on April 18.
