Armenia's ombudsman not preparing to take over general prosecutor position

Armenia's Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Armen Harutyunyan is not preparing to take over the post of General Prosecutor in Armenia.
“No one has made such a proposal to me. I can’t imagine the Ombudsman [referring to himself] leaving without completing his term,” said Harutyunyan, while speaking to journalists.

This, in response to recent news in local media which stated that Harutyunyan had received such a proposal and it was quite possible that he would take over the post of General Prosecutor.
