Italian companies might construct Iran-Armenia railway

The participation of Italian companies in construction of North-South highway is not ruled out, Italian Deputy Minister of Economical Development Paulo Romani told at a meeting with Armenian Transport and Communication Minister Gurgen Sargsyan.

According to Romani, there are many large Italian companies engaged in road construction.

He expressed confidence that companies will participate in the international tender on North-South highway construction, just as in Iran-Armenia railway building.

The officials discussed the issues on increase of telecommunication quality in Armenia, including TV digitization and access to Internet.
