Kazakhstan, Kuwait mull opening direct flights

Kazakhstan and Kuwait are considering the possibility of establishing direct flights, reads a message of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan.

The issue was discussed during a meeting of Ambassador of Kuwait to Kazakhstan Tareq Abdullah Al-Faraj with Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev.

Presently, the designated airlines of both countries have the right to carry out up to seven flights per week between the cities of Astana and Kuwait.

From Kuwait’s side, the designated airlines are Kuwait Airways, Wataniya Airways and Jazeera Airways.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue work on coordination and signing an intergovernmental agreement on air communication between Kazakhstan and Kuwait.
