30 July 2015 [15:56] - TODAY.AZ

An official with the Iranian petrochemical commercial sector has rejected reports that Iran and Russia are going to barter petrochemicals for other products.

There has not been such a thing as the barter of petrochemical products, Iranian Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC) Public Relations and International Affairs Director Abbas Kazemi told Trend July 29.

On July 24, Iran ’s Mehr news agency said that in recent weeks, a couple of Iranian and Russian delegations had held meetings to discuss barter of Iranian petrochemical products with other goods from Russia.

“Russian companies have announced readiness to import urea, methanol, and polymer products from Iran,” Ahmad Mahdavi, secretary of the association of Iranian petrochemical industries union was quoted by Mehr.
