27 February 2013 [11:15] - TODAY.AZ
The U.S. will assist Georgia in implementing reforms. U.S. Ambassador Richard Norland spoke on Washington's decision at a meeting in Georgian Economy Ministry last week.

Priority issues of U.S.- Georgian cooperation, such as protection of property rights, creation of a competitive business environment and improvement of the Labour Code were discussed during the meeting with the Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

The Ambassador said priorities have been determined primarily relating to the protection of property rights.

"We talked about investments in Georgia, economic development and growth. The U.S. is working closely with the Economy Ministry through the embassy, various programs and agencies. We are interested in deepening our dialogue on free trade. I believe this cooperation will expand in the future," Norland said.
