Moscow says: 'No halt acceptable regarding nuclear talks on Iran'

07 September 2012 [14:35] - TODAY.AZ
Moscow believes that there must be no halt regarding the nuclear talks on Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov said, Ria Novosti reported.

Ryabkov noted that new negotiations between Iran and 5+1 are coming up, and thus far there are no indications that the process has freezed.

"The tempo must continue, so there is no pause," Ryabkov noted at the press-conference in Moscow.

He added that if there are stops, they can lead to the talks participants discussing questions that have been discussed before.

The western countries suspect Iran of preparing to make nuclear weapons, yet the Islamic Republic says its nuclear activities aimed at peaceful purposes only.
