Presentation of six types of new military equipment was held in Iran on Tuesday, IRIBNews reports.
Fourth-generation Fateh 110 surface-to-surface missile, Bonyan-4 warship engine , "Armita Flying Lab", "Araz" tactical vehicle, long-range "Vafa" mortar, and "Shahid" surveillance and navigation system were among the presented equipment.
The ceremony, which was dedicated to the Iranian military industry, was attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
According to IRNA, The 4-th generation Fateh 110 missile is the latest surface-to-surface missile with improved precision in targeting and advanced navigation and control systems has been completely engineered by Iranian experts.
The missile has longer lifespan and shorter launch time, compared to the previous generation missiles.
Armita Flying lab is a flight simulator platform, which allows detailed testing of the engine that would later be used on real aircrafts and jets. The lab allows to conduct testing regime in real-time.
The 16-cylinder, 5000 hp Bonyan-4 ship engine is mostly being used on big warships.
The 4x4 "Araz" military vehicle is destined for group transportation of military personnel. The vehicle weights 3,4 tons and is able to go through any terrain.
"Shahid" surveillance and navigation system, which was fully manufactured by Iranians, is able to work very high frequencies (VHF), ultra high frequencies (UHF), and other frequencies as well. The system is also able to broadcast several channels simultaneously.
