Iran, Armenia to mull Araz River pollution

Iran and Armenia will discuss issue of pollution that Araz River is subjected in the territory of Armenia, and ways to address the problem, Iranian FARS news agency reported on Saturday.

Ecology and Environment Organization head Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh will pay an official visit to Armenia on Monday, July 16.

During the visit Mohammadizadeh will be accompanied by representatives of Water Resources Department of the Iranian Energy Ministry.

During the three-day visit, the sides along with discussing the pollution of the Araz River, will hold discussions on development cooperation in the sphere of ecology and environmental protection between the two countries.
