Turkish soldiers killed in shootout with PKK militants

Three Turkish soldiers were killed, while a soldier was wounded in shootout with militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party in the Eruh district of Siirt Province, the Sabah newspaper reported.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years, claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
