01 June 2012 [16:56] - TODAY.AZ
Iran and 5+1 group nuclear talks are going into the right direction, Islamic Republic's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in New Delhi, IRNA reported.

Salehi arrived in India as a special envoy of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to hand over an invitation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to attend the Tehran NAM Summit in August 2012.

The 16th NAM Summit will be held in Tehran from August 26-31.

Salehi said both sides held serious talks regarding Iran's nuclear program, and expects good results from the upcoming meeting of the sides in Moscow.

On May 23 Iran and the "5+1" group held talks in Baghdad, regarding Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Before Baghdad, the talks between Iran and the six members of the P5+1 group were held in the Turkish city of Istanbul on April 14. Both sides hailed the discussions as constructive.

The outcome of the talks in Baghdad was that another round of talks was agreed upon to take place in Moscow on June 18 and 19.

Iran's foreign minister expressed hope that the sides will eventually come to a common agreement that would be suitable for all.
