If democracy of Georgia falls, the transit route between Europe and Asia will cease to exist, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said in Chicago addressing the Atlantic Youth Summit.
The president said that Georgia has the best logistics bases, the best airports, the country builds the best highways and railways in the region.
"If someone is not interested in reforms and the feelings of the people, one can say that Georgia does not have any value, but look at the map: if Georgia falls, if its democracy falls, all the transit routes between Europe and Asia to the Caspian Sea and Afghanistan will simply cease to exist," the President stated.
He said Georgia is not just a country, even though it can not be compared to the United States.
"America is an idea, but Georgia for our little region is also an idea," the president said.
