Georgian president to meet protestors today

A meeting between students who have been protesting for over two months, will be held with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili at the presidential palace in Tbilisi on Thursday. The representatives of presidential administration informed the initiative group.

The meeting will discuss the requirements of students: the restoration of a free sector in state higher education institutions, regulation of the amount of payment in private higher education institutions, as well as recognition of diplomas of accredited universities by the state. Student problems at universities will also be discussed.
