Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology says it has successfully repulsed a cyber attack on the ministry’s computer systems.
Despite intensive efforts by hackers to penetrate into the network, the cyber attack failed to impact the data system, read a Sunday statement by the Iranian ministry, Fars news agency reported.
It further said ‘the proper measures and full preparedness’ of relevant departments at the ministry helped repel the attack.
On April 23, the Iranian Oil Ministry spokesman said a cyber attack targeting the country’s petroleum ministry and the National Iranian Oil Company also failed to affect their key data.
According to the official, all the primary and secondary data were backed up, and there was no concern regarding the issue.
