Georgian students demand free higher education

Student action will be held in front of the Technical University of Georgia in Tbilisi on Wednesday, which mainly demands free higher education and the right to continue education for suspended students.

The action will be attended by students of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia Chavchavadze State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, Technical University of Georgia, Tbilisi State Medical University, the Agrarian University of Georgia,Vano Javakhishvili State Conservatory, Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, whose status were suspended due to nonpayment of tuition.

One of the main demands of the students will be transparency in university budgets.
