Traffic on all road sections of Georgia run without difficulty, the Department of Highway in the Ministry of Economy of Georgia told Trend on Sunday. The department noted that traffic on the Kobe-Gudauri section has opened and movement in the direction of Russia has been restored.
This allowed several dozen cars from Armenia and Russia to proceed in both directions through the checkpoint Lars on the Georgian-Russian border.
More than 50 cars and trailers were forced to remain in the border area for 12 days due to the lack of traffic. Road traffic was paralyzed because of bad weather - snow and danger of avalanches.
