Russian-Georgian relations will be revised

28 January 2012 [11:58] - TODAY.AZ
The Georgian and U.S. presidents Mikheil Saakashvili and Barack Obama will discuss a wide range of issues, including Russian-Georgian relations, at the meeting in Washington on Jan. 30, U.S. Council on Foreign Relations expert Stephen Sestanovich said.

Georgian-Russian relations and security issues will be discussed, he told Georgian journalists. There is a preelection period in three countries -- Georgia, Russia and the United States.

"Excitment is expected in Russia. How will the situation in Russia change after Putin's return. This is a question that the presidents can't avoid," he said. "NATO's report that says Georgia has made significant progress also requires special attention. The presidents will discuss this before the Chicago summit," Sestanovich said.
