Georgia gains economic growth

Georgian Economy Minister Vera Kobalia estimated the activity of ministry in 2011 as successful. She said that the Economy Ministry implemented many successful projects in 2011. These projects include the reforms in the area of privatization, investment, tourism, transport and communications. As a result, Georgia joined the first three leading countries in terms of the economic growth forecast in 2011.

However, the international agencies increased credit rating of Georgia and Kazakhstan. "This will directly impact on reducing the unemployment," she said. "The most important thing is that the industry, financial sector and construction sector increased."
Kobalia raised the plans for 2012.

She said that the ministry plans to implement major projects. "It is important to continue working to develop transport, civil aviation to ensure a great flow of tourists and businessmen.
