Azeri envoy to UN hopes resolution on occupied lands will be adopted

The issue regarding occupation of Azerbaijani lands is on UN agenda and whether it will be brought up for discussions depends on Azerbaijan`s decision, the country`s permanent representative to UN Agshin Mehdiyev said.

“Whether this issue will be debated depends on progress of negotiations. The negotiations are currently at a very sensible phase. Therefore, we will take up the resolution for discussions whenever receive an order from the country leadership.”

Mehdiyev said be believes that the resolution will be adopted. “I hope very much that the resolution will be adopted and more countries will support it.”
