Hungarian Foreign Ministry calls on country's citizens to avoid travels to occupied Nagorno-Karabakh

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry does not recommend its citizens to visit Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas occupied by Armenia without the consent of Azerbaijani official bodies. The Hungarian Foreign Ministry posted this statement on the official website of the Ministry, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Budapest said.

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry also urges its citizens not to visit the territory near the contact line between the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Hungary always recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan at the international level. It stood for a peaceful solution to the conflict. It also supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministries of Poland, Germany, France and Spain made similar statements.
