Berlin hosts political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Germany

The next bilateral political consultations have been held here between Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Germany.

The consultations, headed by Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and his German counterpart Peter Ammon, focused on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, cooperation between the two countries in energy, culture, education and other humanitarian spheres within international organizations.

Special Envoy for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the German Foreign Ministry, Patricia Flor and Azerbaijani Ambassador, Parviz Shahbazov were present in the event.

On the sidelines of the consultations, Khalafov met German Chancellor Angela Merkel`s Foreign Policy and Security Advisor Christoph Heusgen and Deputy Director of Department of External Relations of the Presidential Office Cornelius Zimmerman Kornellios Zimmerman.

They praised the level of Azerbaijan-Germany cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian areas. During the visit, Khalafov also visited the Humboldt University.
