Azerbaijan to improve staff training for agriculture from 2011

Starting from the 2011-2012 academic year, Azerbaijan will improve staff training in the field of agriculture.

At Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov's meeting with German experts on Wednesday, which discussed a project on primary special education development in agriculture, it was stated that an agreement will likely be signed before July.

It is necessary to select the appropriate institution to create the necessary conditions for implementing the plans to implement the project, the minister said during the meeting.

According to the manager of the project in Germany, Herbert Strobel, the main activities planned under the project are the preparation of a document on improving staff training system in the field of agriculture, the organization of teacher training and studying labor market needs. He said appropriate trainings have been held in Ganja in this regard.

The agreement on the project, which consists of four components, will be ready by March 15.
