
The prospects of development of the Azerbaijan- Hungary cooperation will be mulled in Baku. State Secretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Zsolt Nemeth will visit the country On Feb.24-26 for this end, diplomatic sources told Trend.
During the visit, the sides are expected to discuss both bilateral cooperation and interaction within international organizations. Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union, whose chairman is Hungary since January, will be among the issued to be mulled.
Relations between the EU and Azerbaijan began in 1990 with the launch of the European Commission's support for CIS countries in the framework of the TACIS program. The EU and Azerbaijan signed an agreement on partnership, which entered into force in 1999. The sides have also cooperated within the European Neighborhood Policy since 2003.
