An OSCE Parliamentary Assembly special envoy on conflicts in the South Caucasus may be appointed during the organization's winter session.
"During the session on Feb. 24-25 in Vienna, a special envoy may be appointed," diplomatic sources told Trend.
Former OSCE PA Special Representative on Nagorno Karabakh and Georgia Goran Lennmarker left the post in November. Lennmarker was not been reelected in the parliamentary elections in Sweden in September and is no longer a member of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly president is authorized to appoint a special envoy at any time, the source said. However, no candidates for the post have yet been announced.
