Azerbaijani citizens unaffected in riots that sweep Egypt

The consequences of riots occurred in Egypt have not reflected Azerbaijani citizens temporarily residing in this country, the Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt told Trend on Wednesday.

Three people including one policeman were killed on Tuesday during anti-government protests in Egypt, the Associated Press reported citing the representative of the Egyptian Interior Ministry.

The demonstrators, who called their action "Day of Wrath", came out on the streets of Egyptian cities on Tuesday with the requirement to improve the economic situation in the country and provide more political freedom, RIA Novosti reported.

The embassy has not received complaints from citizens, the diplomatic mission said.
