Azerbaijan's deputy transport minister meets European Commission's official

Deputy Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Musa Panahov met Monday Henrik Hololei, Head of Cabinet for Vice President of the European Commission Siim Kallas. Panahov briefed Hololei on the ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan. He also touched upon what had been done in the country in transport-road complex.

Panahov underlined the necessity of development of cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan in various fields, including transport sector.

They exchanged views on other issues including renewal of railway infrastructure, road safety issues and development of EU`s TRACECA project.

The sides also underscored the importance of signing an aviation agreement between Azerbaijan and EU.
