Lithuanian Seimas Speaker's visit program to Azerbaijan publicized

Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania Irena Degutiene will hold meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade within her official visit to Baku, scheduled for Feb. 8-11, Baltic News reports.

Degutiene will also meet with the Azerbaijani ministers, politicians and other officials, Lithuanian Parliament's Public Relations Department said.

The Speaker hopes that this visit will contribute to the creation of better conditions for Lithuanian business in Azerbaijan.

"Meetings of Lithuania and Azerbaijan's senior politicians are a great opportunity not only to strengthen bilateral political relations, but also try to open the gate for the Lithuanian business. We also hope to interest the Azerbaijani officials with projects implemented in Lithuania in various spheres, particularly in the energy sector," a press release quotes Degutiene, as saying.

The Speaker of the Seimas will be accompanied by a delegation of Lithuanian businessmen.
