Azerbaijan's President receives credentials of new Turkmen ambassador

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev received Wednesday credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Turkmenistan Toyli Komekov.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the Turkmen ambassador. The Head of State said Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan had an active cooperation. He added bilateral political relations are at good level, and economic ties are developing.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that dynamism of relationship between the two countries would be preserved in the future, the agenda of relations between “our peoples” would be broaden and this relations would develop even more.

The Head of State expressed hope that during the tenure of Toyli Komekov in Azerbaijan bilateral relations between the two countries would develop, and wished successes to him in his activities.

For his part, Toyli Komekov extended greetings and best wishes of Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedow to President Ilham Aliyev. Komekov said he was honored to be appointed as an ambassador to Azerbaijan.

The diplomat recalled that he worked previously in Baku with his Azerbaijani counterparts on the Caspian issue. He said the summit of Heads of State of Caspian countries was held in Baku at a high level. He particularly stressed the importance of the legal document signed in the summit.

President Ilham Aliyev asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedow.
