EC President's Azerbaijan visit in Euronews spotlight

A recent visit by the European Commission`s President to Baku, which marked the signing of a gas deal between Azerbaijan and the Commission, has been highlighted by the Euronews TV channel.

The deal, signed by President Ilham Aliyev and Jose Manuel Barroso, envisages the transportation of Azerbaijan`s gas for the implementation of the South corridor project.

The signing of the document is considered a breakthrough for the South corridor, which includes the planned Nabucco pipeline, being designed to carry 31 billion cubic metres a year of Azeri gas into Europe.
