Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast: “Hijab issue is Azerbaijan’s internal affair”

“This is Azerbaijan’s internal affair and I hope that the state leaders will patiently take measures on this issue”, said spokesman for Iranian Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast, APA reports quoting “MEHR” news agency.

He expressed his position on the statements of well-known Iranian confessors on hijab issue in Azerbaijan and said that this issue is this country’s internal affair: “It is quite natural protest because most part of population of the country is Muslims. I hope that Azerbaijani leaders and politicians will not allow somebody to misuse this issue. The protesters can also meet with their leaders and the country’s authoritative officials and solve these problems”.
