Azerbaijan supports new Iraqi government

"The Republic of Azerbaijan supports Iraqi people and is interested in expanding and strengthening existing historical and cultural relations," the statement reads.

"The Republic of Azerbaijan welcomes organization of a new government led by Nouri al-Maliki and believes the new Iraqi government will ensure stability and security in the country and serve the prosperity and welfare of the Iraqi people," it says in a statement.
