Azerbaijani FM to attend ECO foreign ministers' meeting

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov attends the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Istanbul on Dec. 20-23, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend.

The 11th Heads of State and Government Summit of the ECO will also take place these days. Previous ECO summit was held in March 2009 in Tehran.
 
The organization was founded in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey, and today includes Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
