Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan marks country's Independence Day

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan organized an official reception to mark the 19th anniversary of the country's Independence Day on December 16.

Opening the event, ambassador Serik Primbetov briefed the participants on the history of his country's independence.

He said fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Nursultan Nazarbayev had successfully been continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Ambassador underlined Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan enjoy friendly relations, and the two countries have always supported each other.

“I am sure that our mutual efforts will be directed at boosting bilateral ties for the sake of prosperity of our peoples and countries, as well as peace, security and stability in region,” said Primbetov.

Attending the event, Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov congratulated the Kazakh people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. According to Abasov, relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan started to develop intensively after they regained independence.

He stressed reciprocal visits and documents signed contributed to boosting relations between the two countries. The Minister expressed confidence bilateral ties would further develop. Officials, foreign ambassadors, MPs and others attended the event.
