Trust between Turkey and Azerbaijan is endless, Turkish President

Upon returning from the OSCE Astana summit, the Turkish President Abdullah Gul held a press conference at the Ataturk airport in Istanbul, hailing the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

“We are one nation, two states. We endlessly trust each other. President Ilham Aliyev expressed regret over some rumors.

I told him there is no need for regret because we do not believe these allegations. Our interests are common. The implementation of joint energy projects between Turkey and Azerbaijan meet both countries` interests.”
