Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to Costa Rican President

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov who has got concurrent accreditation to Costa Rica has presented his credentials to Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla Miranda and Foreign Minister Rene Castro.

They discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields , in particular education, culture, economics and trade. Mukhtarov conveyed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's greetings to the Costa Rican leader. The ambassador vowed he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing Azerbaijan-Costa Rica ties during his tenure.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mukhtarov informed the President about the peace talks. President Laura Chinchilla Miranda said her country supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and position on the conflict.

During the visit to Costa Rica, Mukhtarov met director of the Diplomatic Institute Jose Joaquin Chaverri Sievert to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries` diplomatic educational institutions.
