Azerbaijani Defense Minister visits cultural center in Tashkent

Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan upon the invitation of his Uzbek counterpart Kabul Berdiyev, visited Azerbaijan's Heydar Aliyev National Cultural Center on Tuesday.

Safar Abiyev laid a wreath at the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in front of the Azerbaijani cultural center. Then he became familiarized with the exposition of the Museum of Heydar Aliyev and the Azerbaijani statehood.

As the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan told Trend, the Minister's visit program includes a trip to the historic centers of Uzbekistan - Samarkand and Bukhara cities.

The day before the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan discussed the current state and prospects of the military bilateral cooperation and signed a military cooperation plan for 2011.
