Azerbaijani, Uzbek defense ministries sign bilateral cooperation Plan for 2011

On November 29, defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a bilateral cooperation Plan for 2011.

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev and his Uzbek counterpart Kabil Berdiyev in Tashkent.

Before the signing ceremony, the two ministers had a conversation during which they exchanged views on military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, military and political situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia regions.

Then, the ministers visited the Tashkent Higher Combined-Arms Command School, where Abiyev became familiar with the conditions created for cadets.

The Azerbaijani Defense Minister will meet Tuesday Uzbek Prime Minister Shavgat Mirziyayev, Speaker of Parliament Dilarom Tash-Muhamedova and Chairman of the parliament`s upper house Ilgizar Sabirov.
