Peter Semneby meets with released Azerbaijani bloggers

Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby met with the released Azerbaijani bloggers Emin Milli, Adnan Hajizadeh and their families. Peter Semneby said the European Union had always paid close attention to the case of the bloggers.

“This case affected the freedom of expression as much as their private life. I am very glad that the legal procedures enabling early release of the bloggers were carried out,” he said.

On November 18, Baku Appeals Court passed a decision to release Adnan Hajizadeh, a day later Salyan region court passed a decision to release Emin Milli.
