Summit of heads of Caspian states to be held every year

An agreement was reached at the third summit of the heads of the Caspian states in Baku to hold meetings in this format every year, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said at the briefing on the outcomes of the summit.

“We reached an agreement to meet once every year. It is inadmissible to meet once in three years,” he said.

The first summit of the heads of the Caspian states was held in Ashgabat in 2002, the second summit in Tehran in 2007.
