The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) reported that from Monday 10 am, the distribution of the ballots printed in the country in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections will begin.

According to received information, the distribution will begin in Sharur Sadarak electoral district Number 1. During the day is planning to distribute ballots in several constituencies.
The number of ballots is more than 5 million. In accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code, the ballots will be printed by 3% more than the number of voters. Election ballots will be printed by typographical method in the Azerbaijani Parliament's print shop.
The CEC at a meeting approved the text on October 1st, form, number and rules to prepare ballots. The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. According to article 99 of the Electoral Code, the ballots shall be approved by the CEC within 35 days before the elections and prepared at least 10 days before the elections.
The number of ballot papers can not exceed the number of registered voters more than three percent. In the polling stations, the number of ballots should not exceed the number of voters by 0.5%.
