Azerbaijani speaker: Azerbaijan keen on democratic elections

“The Government of Azerbaijan is interested in the conduct of democratic parliamentary elections and is making arrangements to this end. There are favorable conditions for international observation missions in the country. We believe PACE will be impartial and objective towards elections,” Speaker of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov said at a meeting with PACE observation mission members.

Head of the observation mission Paul Wille praised the progress achieved by Azerbaijan to improve the electoral system. He underlined the activity of the mission would be objective.
