Azerbaijan bought 9 2S7 Pion self-propelled guns from Russia in 2009, APA reports quoting Rosoboroneksport State Company. In accordance with the contract, the guns were delivered to Azerbaijan in March-December, 2009. Russia sold 3 Pion guns to Azerbaijan in 2008. 203.2mm Pion guns can be effectively used against targets in the distance of 51km.
