Azerbaijani CEC issues memos for observers

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued memos for observers to the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the CEC reported. The memos reflect the principles and rules for observing the elections, as well as the rights and obligations of observers. It was developed on the basis of regulations approved by the Electoral Code and the CEC.

The "Memo to observers" was published in the framework of the educational program implemented by the CEC.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
