Azerbaijani President extends national holiday congratulations to his Chinese counterpart

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Chinese President Hu Jintao on National Day of the People's Republic of China, AzerTAc state news agency reported.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, I cordially congratulate You and all Your people with the national holiday. Today, with the ancient traditions, the Azerbaijani-Chinese relations are on the path of comprehensive development. Strengthening of inter-state relations in accordance with the interests of two friendly nations is accompanied by expansion of scope of our cooperation. I hope that we will continue to make joint efforts for a stable and long-term development of relations between our countries, our cooperation both bilaterally and within international organizations," the letter reads.

Azerbaijan's President wished Hu Jintao good health and success, the friendly people of China - peace and prosperity.
