
Deputy chair of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament), chairman of the natural resources, energy and ecology committee of the parliament Valeh Alasgarov met with visiting Chairman of the Czech Republic Senate's committee on European Union affairs Ludek Sefzig on Tuesday.
Alasgarov briefed Sefzig on the pre-electoral situation in Azerbaijan and the country's electoral system.
He said “currently MPs include representatives from more than 10 political parties in the Milli Majlis”, adding the electoral system allows every citizen being nominated for the elected bodies.
Sefzig stressed Czech pays particular attention to Azerbaijan.
The Czech official has also briefed Alasgarov on the electoral system and senate of the country.
Alasgarov also informed Sefzig on the committee's work, as well as Azerbaijan's economic development, global projects and the country's integration into Europe.
