Azerbaijani, Iranian FMs meet in New York

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with his Iranian Counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki under the 65th UN General Assembly session in New York, the FARS news agency reported. The ministers discussed the level of the Azerbaijani-Iranian cooperation.

Mottaki stressed the importance of mutual visits of the two countries' officials and implementation of the issues agreed during those visits. Tehran will host the eighth meeting of the joint Azerbaijan-Iran intergovernmental economic commission in the near future, Mottaki said. Mammadyarov also noted the high level of bilateral relations.
