CoE to hold training sessions in Baku and regions

The Council of Europe will hold trainings to prepare journalists for the November parliamentary elections in Baku and regions, the head of the Council of Europe's Baku office, Veronika Kotek, has told media in Baku.

"Training seesions will be conducted for employees of both electronic and print media outlets," Kotek said.

She said that several voter-education measures will be supported by the Council of Europe. Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies.
