Turkish foreign trade minister holds news conference on results of his Baku visit

Turkey's Minister of State Responsible for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan convened a news conference on results of his visit to Azerbaijan on July 29.
The Minister described his visit as “fruitful”. He said “Azerbaijan has powerful economy”.

Caglayan said Turkey was interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in all areas.

He noted that a large delegation composed of over 100 businessmen would visit Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in near future. Caglayan pointed out that the delegation would mainly focus on customs issues.

“Turkey will further deepen its relations with Nakhchivan. Nakhchivan is of great importance for Turkey,” he said.

On Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Turkish minister said it would further boost the relations between the two countries. The minister said the two countries' trade makes $2.2 bln, adding “it is not enough and we should make it reach 5 bln in a short period of time”.
